Acrylic on Wood with Paper 48”x30”
When I retired, I felt as though I were emerging from a creative hibernation. I now had the time and energy to express myself artistically. I am still learning, experimenting and doing. I stoke my creative fire continuously by creating visual art, acting and writing. A year ago I purchased a 100- year-old house. When I moved in, I looked around and said, “This house is going to be my canvas.” During the pandemic I have been able to express myself creatively on window frames, stairwells and cabinets. In April, when it appeared that the pandemic was going to go on longer than expected, I started painting the six doors in the upper level of my house. Doors are a new medium for me. Each one is like a mini mural.
