I have loved listening to music for as long as I can remember. The music was aural only—radio and records—until my 60s, when I began attending live performances, mostly of Blues music, beginning in small bars at first, then at concerts and festivals. This was over 15 years ago. I quickly discovered that music is not only for one’s ears, heart and soul but also for one’s eyes. Musical performance often features powerful visual aspects. I was entranced by widely varied facial expressions and body movements of the performers. My passion to capture and memorialize that magic departs from the usual, standard photographs. I have moved to creating new forms via digitization to enhance their impact. Music For Your Eyes!—my theme—drives me to present the visual side of music and enhance the appreciation of this wonderful universal language.
